The 5th day of play for the qualifying round for the 2015 AFCON started yesterday Friday and will be highly competitive this Saturday, November 15.
The supporters of the indomitable Lions of Cameroon hoped for the defeat of Côte d'Ivoire against Sierra Leone which would lead to the qualification of Cameroon for the final phase of the AFCON 2015.
However, Friday evening at the stade Félix Houphouët Boigny in Abidjan, the Leone Stars of Sierra Leone who received the Elephants of Ivory Coast, were defeated. After having resisted during the first half with a (1-1)score, the Sierra Leoneans were crushed in the second half.
This victory of the Ivorian selection brought them closer in the standings with 9 points while the indomitable Lions remain leaders with 10 points.
Cameroonians have the opportunity to qualify this Saturday night if they emerge victorious in their match against the Democratic Republic of the Congo. Can the Lions win this match?
