Chelsea interested in Barcelona’s Alex Song

Chelsea are planning another raid on Barcelona for a former Arsenal player with Alex Song now in Jose Mourinho’s sights.

The Blues confirmed the £27million arrival of Cesc Fabregas from the Catalan club this week, but the club are not finished there.

Song, 26, has been told he can leave Barca this summer for £10million and Chelsea are ready to open talks over a deal.

Mourinho wants a new holding midfielder to replace John Obi Mikel, who has been put up for sale, and to act as competition for Nemanja Matic.

Song is seen as the ideal man and reports in Spain say Chelsea are hopeful they will be able to grab him in the coming weeks.
