Dieudonné Bassanguen is dead

Dieudonné Bassanguen former striker of the Cameroon football national team died Thursday in Eséka, where he enjoyed his retirement from military.

Constable Major Dieudonné Bassanguen died at 70 years.

During the African nations Championship of 1970 in Sudan, Cameroon participated for the first time.

The selection was not yet named indomitable Lions but had real talent with people like Mbappé Lépé, Ndoga, Jean Manga Onguene and Dieudonné Bassanguen.

Freshly out of the Dragon club of Yaoundé, he belonged to the pioneers of the national selection.

At the time, the Oryx in Douala, Dragon or Canon de Yaounde duels were very popular, full to bursting.
