In an interview with Samuel Eto'o by the police on, ‘imaginary facts of opinion,” published in La Une newspaper on Tuesday by Mr. Jean Bruno Tagne, it was alleged that his passport had been stolen.

The report indicated that Samuel Eto'o was currently without a passport after his travel documents were removed after a police hearing on Friday, June 27. Emphasis by police, stated that Eto'o would have gone to the DGNS 'General Delegation for National Security, accompanied by his driver, his lawyer and a close friend.

It was said that the hearing of Samuel Eto'o was one of the reasons for the collapse of Cameroon at the World Cup in Brazil, which lasted several hours and returned as part of the investigation prescribed by the Head of State, Paul Biya.

However, it has now been revealed that the information that was unfortunately relayed by several other international media outlets was purely the fruit of the fertile mind of the journalist Mr. Jean Bruno Tagne, in an attempt to blur the ongoing investigation set by the Head of State.

Hereby, we would like to inform you that Captain Samuel Eto'o Fils has never been deprived of his passport nor has he been questioned by police concerning any fact of opinion what so ever.

The allegation has been discredited. It is all the more regrettable that it appears Mr Jean-Bruno is a member of the National Communication Council.

Finally, it is appropriate to recall that the Captain of the Indomitable Lions had a welcoming, fruitful and peaceful stay both in Yaoundé and Douala with his parents, where he went on Sunday 29, before meeting the rest of his family abroad to spend a little time in privacy.

We therefore urge the public to be vigilant to manipulation and misrepresentation, which without doubt, could be released intermittently in order to confuse the investigation prescribed by the Head of State on the collapse of the National flag team in Brazil.
