Eto'o donates to Ghanaian ex captain's fund raising event

The testimonial match of the former Ghana captain, Stephen Appiah kicked off last saturday at the Accra Sports Stadium. Cameroon legend, Samuel Eto’o pledged $50,000 at the event.

Black Stars captain, Asamoah Gyan also donated $60,000 at fund-raising dinner which was held friday at the State Banquet Hall ahead of the testimonial match of Stephen Appiah.

Appiah's former team mate at Cesena, Guissepe Colluci also donated $10,000 at the fund-raising dinner ahead of the testimonial match.

Football icons, Gyan, Eto'o and Colluci, were all given signed balls and framed jerseys from Stephen Appiah.

Ghana Football Association(GFA) officials, former black stars players and a delegation of celebrities were present to support Stephen Appiah.

Asamoah Gyan, Baby Jet, led Black Stars select side against Stephen Appiah XI at the testimonial match on Saturday.

Stephen Appiah, earlier this week announced his wife has been supportive for 20 years in his football career.
