Samuel Eto’o is doubtful for Everton’s trip to West Bromwich Albion on Saturday, in matchday 4 of the English Premier League.
The Cameroonian striker suffered a minor injury against Chelsea before the international break a fortnight ago and will undergo a final fitness test this Saturday.
“Samuel Eto’o got a little knock in the game against Chelsea at the moment he scored and we are going to be a little cautious. Again, we will assess him today and tomorrow to see if he can make the squad for Saturday. If can't make the squad then he should be available for next week,” Everton boss Roberto Martinez said at the pre-match press conference on Friday.
Midfielder Leon Osman is also a question mark for Saturday, while defender Bryan Oviedo and striker Arouna Koné are not expected against the Baggies despite being back in full training after being side-lined for months with long-term injuries.
The Toffees will be looking for their first win of the season at the Hawthorns, following their two opening draws against Leicester City and Arsenal and a 3-6 thrashing by Chelsea.
