The 2015 edition of the primary school games ended on Saturday, March 26, 2016 in Ebolowa in the South region with the Far North Region winning the highest number of medals.
Athletes from the primary schools representing the Far North region won a total of 33 medals, 13 in gold, 8 in silver and 12 in bronze. The East region came second also obtaining the prize for the revelation of the games, Anne Hilary Kegne Jonto, 9 year old class four pupil of Government School Buea. The young talent won four medals in Ebolowa; two in gold and others in silver. The West region occupied the third position.
The athletes from the South region who were playing in front of their home crowd occupied the fourth winning a total of 13 medals, four in gold, one in silver, and eight in bronze. At the end of the Easter holiday football fiesta, the Minister of Basic Education, Youssouf Hadjidja Alim, who presided over the ceremony handed over distinctions to the victorious team.
The Minister of Post and Telecommunication, Minette Libom Li Likeng, the Secretary of State in the Ministry of the Minister of Basic Education, Benoît Ndong Soumhet, and the Governor of the South Region, Félix Nguélé Nguélé were also special guest at the event.
The Minister of Basic Education, Youssouf Hadjidja Alim expressed satisfaction with the organisation of the event. The flag of the games where handed over to the North West Regional Delegate in view of the organisation of the next edition of the primary school games be organised in 2017 in Bamenda in the North West Region.
