FENASSCO B - 60 Medals Won Already

The FENASSCO League B games holding in Douala entered day three yesterday Wednesday April 3. So far, a total of 60 medals have been grasped by the competitors participating in the nine sports discipline. At press time, after the morning session marked by basketball ladies, handball boys, volleyball ladies alongside high jump for the boys, the Far North Region was leading. Having four gold medals, three silver and two bronze; the region is closely followed by the South having four gold, two silver and three bronze medals. The North West Region comes up third with four gold and two bronze medals. Meanwhile, four regions were still lagging, with no gold medal, though having registered a few silver and bronze. They include the South West, Littoral, West and Adamawa Regions.

Out of the 1138 potential competitors who turned out for FENASCO B league, 311 have been disqualified. Talking to CT, the rapporteur of the morphology commission, Mrs. Pascale Mimbo'o in charge of checking irregularities, explained that some of the candidates were rejected because of their physical appearance. Apart from the age range which is eight to 14 years old, all competitors have to belong effectively enrolled in a school for the academic year. Apart from grasping medals from one discipline to the other, the sports community is highly entertained in the evening at the games' village.
