Former Indomitable Lion Mamilo Ruben is dead

The former indomitable Lion and retired Rail FC attacker, Mamilo Ruben died yesterday in Douala after a brief illness.

He was part of the 1984 team which won the Africa Cup of Nations held in Ivory Coast before his Excellency the President of the Republic Houphouët Boigny.

On the occasion, Théophile Abega was captain in a group comprising among others Mbom Ephrem, Aoudou Ibrahim, Mbida Aranès, Ndjéya René alias Brice, Doumbè Léa François, Nicolas Makon (best scorer in Cameroon in the 1984 1st division's Championship), Bell Joseph Antoine, Albert Roger Milla, Ebongue Ernest alias Bouboule.
