Nigeria’s Super Falcons will require something special to get Cameroon tomorrow in the semi final of the 2015 All-Africa Games.
Chris Danjuma's team emerged runner up in Group A after a 2-1 defeat to Ivory Coast.
The team had previously looked unstoppable defeating teams and leaving them for dead. After reaching a 9-goal haul at the end of 2 group matches, they were defeated in a match against fellow World Cup returnee, Ivory Coast; who sealed a famous win from the spot in the 77th minute.
Danjuma who may be on his final grace to save the team will have the unenviable task of facing the best Africa team at the 2015 FIFA Women’s World Cup and runner up to the 2014 Africa Women Cup of Nations in Namibia which Nigeria incidentally won.
However, Ngachu Enow’s side qualified for the semis with just 2 points. Also, the three teams in Group B qualified with the same points, goals for and against.
A tiebreaker was invoked and South Africa lost to Ghana in drawing of lots.
