Host countries of CAN 2019, 2021 and 2023 were revealed on Saturday and they are Cameroon, Côte d'Ivoire and Guinea respectively.
At a press conference held by CAF after a meeting in Ethiopia, Issa Hayatou, the head of the CAF, justified the choice of the three host countries.
"This is the outcome of the assessment mission and the presentation of the application," said Hayatou.
"We focused on violence in stadiums, the Ebola outbreak and cheating on the ages of African players" , said the No. 1 of CAF.
In memory of JS Kabylie Cameroonian striker killed last August, CAF created a fair play award called "Albert Ebossé Award."
