Indomitable Lions and Bafana - Bafana to clash in Gabon

Ghana's Afcon opponents, South Africa, have sealed a proposed pre-Afcon friendly with Cameroon.

The game is set for Gabon on for January 11 where the Indomitable Lions will be having the final phase of their pre-tournament preparations. Head coach Volker Finke on Monday released the details of his programme for the Afcon which will begin from home soil.

A provisional squad of 25 players will open camp at the Mont-Febe Hotel in Yaounde.

The side will hold two training sessions at the Stade Omnisports Ahmadou Ahidjo on January 5 and 6 with their first warm-up game against DR Congo the following day.

The team is scheduled to leave after the match on January 7 for Libreville to conduct the second phase of their preparations from January 8-16.

The Bafana Bafana friendly is confirmed for January 11 in Libreville with an opponent for a final warm-up game on January 14 yet to be determined.

Cameroon’s contingent for the 2015 Afcon will leave their camping base for Equatorial Guinea a day to the start of the Afcon.

The Indomitable Lions will face Mali in their opening game on January 20.
