Regobert Song Bahanag,former captain of the indomitable lions who lost his captainship in 2009 and became team manager of the indomitable lions has been replaced by Alphonse Tchami.
Alphonse Tchami was appointed by the president of the FECAFOOT normalization committee on Friday 29th, August 2014 as part of the ongoing reforms within the Cameroon national football team.
The manager is required to be the link between the players and football authorities,of the Ministry of sports and physical education and the Cameroon Football Association.
The appointment comes 2 days before the new generation team was called to camp in view of the 2015 AFCON eliminatories.
The 25 man squad summoned by team coach Volker Finke at the CAF Centre for excellence at Mbankomo, began training today September 1st and will be required to face the Democratic Republic of Congo on Saturday 6th in Kinshasa-Congo.
According to the fixtures, the Indomitable Lions after facing the DRC, will play host to Cote d'Ivoire on the 10th of this month.
In the meantime,the Cameroon Football Association,FECAFOOT has scheduled a press conference this Monday,to update the press on the reconstruction of the National team.
A similar conference has been announced for Wednesday September 3rd and the last on Thursday 4th before the new look team takes off for Kinshasa. At the end of this Fecafoot communication campaign, it is expected that Cameroonians will once more mount support after the National team.
