The election into the head of the Cameroon football federation, Fecafoot, in December has been announced and candidates have already been declaring their intentions.
Joseph-Antoine Bell, the former emblematic goal keeper of the indomitable lions could be in the race, at least if the people maintain the call for his candidacy launched in the city of Bertoua by Dr. Paul Zambo, the president of the National Board of appeal.
“An outstanding personality, a man of experience, broken and veteran whose probity and strength of character bode unwavering determination that will work for the advent of healthier practices, more in tune with the values of sport. He will not be a Superman, but a man of character and height, capable, by his own behaviors and acts he poses, to lead by example. You cannot separate the practice of the sport and the importance to translate exemplary behaviour. He is a Cameroonian capable of promoting active and resolute ways, without preconceptions, without prejudice and without bias, a frank and sincere dialogue in a spirit of conciliation and compromise, to strengthen the cohesion of the family of football”. He stated.
"The future president of the Fecafoot will have to manage a team of competent men and women selected based on their ability to direct the Cameroonian football on virtuous path.
"For the moment, I consider that the duty is incumbent on us all football lovers who love our national team the indomitable Lions, to recommend one of the prestigious old indomitable Lions who, we believe has gained some experience in how to handle the issues in football, in a way to administer the men, in a way to conquer a moribund team, in a way of managing the national contradictions, in a way to "organize the opening with all the forces involved in the management of football in the best interests of the nation; who has acquired a capital of experience both at the national and international levels, who can and must serve the cause of our country.
"Joseph Antoine Bell has the profile for employment. He is willing to meet the challenge to deliver our football which is now found in the abyss". He said.
