Joseph Owona, Cameroon football boss, has publicly indicated that he no longer wants to see the players who showed unruly behaviour at the World Cup in Brazil 2014 among the other indomitable Lions.

According to Cameroon-info.NET, Volker Finke, head coach of the national team of Cameroon wished, for the final phase of AFCON in Equatorial Guinea 2015 to call back into the national selection, some players banned since the failure of Cameroon in the final phase of the World Cup in Brazil 2014.

Among the players the German technician wanted to convene for the equato-Guinean expedition, is Alexandre Song.

But since three weeks, Volker Finke is unable to obtain favourable advice from the authorities on the thorny issue of the selection of banned players to return. And everything leads to believe that the head coach of the indomitable Lions should be at a crossroad on this project because, Joseph Owona, Cameroon football boss, has indicated publicly that he no longer wanted players who showed indiscipline in the Brazil 2014 World Cup among the other lions.

"There are plenty of people that were noted in Brazil during the world cup by a notorious indiscipline and that we set aside. It's not me who assaulted Neymar. No! We do not want these people in the national team," directed Joseph Owona yesterday, Monday 22 December 2014, at a press conference held at the headquarters of the Cameroon football Federation, in the presence of all members of the Fecafoot Standardization Committee.

This assumed decision of Joseph Owona is considered by some fans of Cameroonian football, as notorious interference in the work of Volker Finke.

"When the Coach made his selection, he sends copies of his list to the Ministry of sports and Fecafoot. Any coach who undertakes with the indomitable Lions knows that it is subject to this duty. And it is not by mere formality that copies are sent to the authorities. Their opinion is essential. This is not interference but is a responsibility by those who are guarantors of our football" noted a manager of the administrative board of the national team.

During the press conference, the standards Committee also confirmed that the indomitable Lions will prepare in Yaoundé and in Libreville. The list of the players pre-selected by Volker Finke will be published this week.
