Kamara pulls out of Sierra Leone squad ahead of AFCON

Former Middlesbrough and Norwich City forward Kei Kamara has pulled out of the Sierra Leone squad that will face Cameroon twice in the forthcoming 2015 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers in Yaounde

The 30-year old, who is currently without a club, was among 20 overseas players called up for the two ties.

"I will not be available for the two matches against Cameroon because I'm dealing with contract talks and I need to be around in case of any emergency travels," Kamara told BBC Sport.

His replacement has not yet been named after a row broke out over coaching staff to take charge of the Leone Stars for the matches on October 11 and 15.

At present, there are two separate sets of coaches. The Sierra Leone Football Association (SLFA) have appointed John Ajina Sesay and Abdulai Bah whilst the country's sports ministry have named Atto Mensah and John Sama to guide the team.

Kamara scored the Leone Stars' only goal in a 2-1 defeat to Ivory Coast in Abidjan last month, to take his goal tally for Sierra Leone to four.

The Leone Stars went on to lose 2-0 to Democratic Republic of Congo in Lubumbashi and are presently bottom of group D in the qualifiers. Meanwhile, two other players in Sierra Leone's squad will not be available due to injuries.

They are Azerbaijan based Alfred Sankoh and George Kweku Davies based in Germany.

These players have been replaced by Alhaji Kamara who is playing in Sweden and Finland based Hassan Sesay.
