Leone Stars out to frustrate Indomitable Lions

Sierra Leone will do everything possible to frustrate a Cameroon side who are on the brink of qualifying for next years African Cup of Nations in Morocco when the two sides meet at the Stade Ahmadou Ahidjo on Wednesday evening in Yaoundé.

Kick-off is at 16h00 (CAT).

Cameroon head into the midweek fixture knowing a win will send them up to 10 points and subsequently secure progression from Group D.

It won't be easy though against a Sierra Leone outfit who managed a goalless draw at the same stadium on Saturday evening.

With the Ebola outbreak in Sierra Leone being a major concern, the Leone Stars have had to play their home games at the home of their opponent.

Indomitable Lions winger Benjamin Moukandjo is aware of the task in hand and is confident his side can do better than the stalemate they achieved over the past weekend.

"We know what to expect in this return leg. We want to win and I believe we will win on Wednesday, but we will have to show a different side," said Moukandjo.

"The one we showed [against Sierra Leone] was not up to the standards we reached against DR Congo and Cote d'Ivoire, but it doesn't mean that we have to throw everything away. It is not going to be an easy game, but hopefully we will walk away with the win after 90 minutes."

Cameroon centre-back Nicolas Nkoulou has been training separately and remains a doubt for the encounter for the game while Coton Sport right-back Cedric Djeugoue who missed the reverse fixture is back with the group.

Meanwhile, defensive midfielder Franck Kom is injured and has been officially ruled out for the game.

For Sierra Leone John Ajina Sesay will again watch over the side following the sacking of sacking of Northern Irishman Johnny McKinstry.

Ivory Coast will host the Democratic Republic of Congo in the other Group D encounter.
