The Libyan national U20 football team arrived Saturday in Bafoussam, Cameroon, after a tedious journey from Libya to Tunisia then passing through Morocco and off to Cameroon’s capital, Yaoundé, then into Bafoussam, where the match with Cameroon U20 team will take place on Sunday as part of the qualifiers for the Africa U20 Cup of Nations, Zambia 2017.
Libyan footballers complained about being so warn out after the tiring series of flights they had to take to arrive at Bafoussam, which obliged the coaching crew to cancel the training session that was supposed to take place Saturday in preparation for the Sunday game.
Bafoussam, which was picked by the Cameroon Football Federation for the match instead of the capital, is relatively high above sea level by about 1500m, thus causing the Libyan footballers to be extremely exhausted during the match, given the weary journey they undertook to arrive in the city a day before the match.
