The Indomitable Lions and Lionesses are undergoing relentless trainings ahead of their Wednesday encounters with Sierra Leone and Algeria, respectively.
The Lions are in camp in Yaounde while the Lionesses are in Windhoek, Namibia.
As preparations heat up, the Indomitable Lions held a press conference on Monday 12th October 2014 at 5:30 p. m at the CAF Excellence Centre at Mbankomo in the outskirts of Yaounde.
During the press conference, Head Coach Volker Finke revealed prominent changes that he will effect to ensure that the squad faces the Leone Stars without glaring challenges.
Throughout the first thirty minutes of the press briefing, issues concerning the first leg match with Sierra Loene were discussed and solutions proposed.
The head coach assisted by Enoh Eyong, Benjamin Moukandjo and Sali Edgar answered questions from the press relating to team spiritedness, practical options and possible substitutes during the match.
It is worth noting that, the match will be the fourth for both teams in the qualifier round for the 2015 African Cup of Nations slated for Morocco.
Meanwhile, the national women’s football team of Cameroon continues training in Windhoek- Namibia after their one nil victory over Namibia on 12th October 2014.
The victory put Cameroon in the top position in Group B alongside Algeria that had a similar one nil win over Ghana.
The Lionesses are to face Algeria this Wednesday 15th October 2014.
