If you watch a 76ers game, you may only notice these players: Nerlens Noel, Isaiah Canaan, and Robert Covington. But there is one player who can go unnoticed in most Sixers talk in Luc Mbah a Moute.

Mbah a Moute has been a consistent player for the Sixers all season long, but rarely gets the coverage that he deserves. He has put up great numbers all year; so it’s time to break them down.

Mbah a Moute has played the fourth most games on the team (62), and with that, he holds the sixth best field goal percentage on the team at 40.5 percent. He is the third highest scorer on the team, behind Noel and Covington, with 241 field goals for 624 points (around 10.2 points per game). His three-point percentage sits at 30.4 percent, which is outstanding for a someone who primarily plays power forward.

Also consider that coming into his first season in Philly, LMAM never took more than 37 triples in a season. He’s 56-for-184 this year.

He does his fair share of the defensive work, too. He is third on the team in rebounding (both offensive and defensive combined) with 310. He averages five rebounds per game, third most on the team. Not to mention, his often seen doing yeoman’s work in the post against some big’s that outweigh him considerably. He does a damn good job with his post defense also.

The former UCLA product’s playmaking ability also shows up on his stat card. He is fourth on the team in total assists with 102 (1.6 per game) and third on the team in steals with 77 (1.2 per game).

On most teams these stats would be sub-par to some, average to others. But, taking into account the struggles that the team is having this year, these are very solid stats to have. It’s been a solid year for Luc Mbah a Moute as we start to trail off towards the end of another year. He might be worth bringing back next season if nothing else.
