Yossi Honore has been elected new President of the Cameroon Cycling Federation and the incumbent Secretary General Bruno Eloumou re-elected and Modi Francois retained as treasurer.

Elections were held during the general assembly of the federation on Saturday 29th November 2014 at the Conference Hall of the Ministry of Sports and Physical Education.

Speaking shortly after the elections, Yossi Honore declared his determination to work with everyone so cycling can gain firm stance like other sports disciplines.

In the face of controversies surrounding the general conduct of the elections, the new president stressed that his election was legitimate because the electoral procedure was entirely respected.

The disgruntled delegates challenged the legitimacy of Yossi`s election arguing that only 41 of the 68 delegates took part in the election proper.

Accordingly, the elections did not respect the stipulations of the Federation`s electoral code.

This group led by Kameni John whose candidature was rejected pointed to some irregularities and the non-respect of the deadline for the validation of candidatures.

The representative of the Ministry of Sports and Physical ,Toko Ekambi, however differed with these claims stating that the statutes of the federation were respected by the delegates hence the election was validated.

Yossi replaces Moustapha Dogo who died in active service.

The president elect has promised more financial assistance to regional leagues and other genres of cycling like VTT (Velo Tout Terrain).
