Ngwe Emmanuel, the Invincible

Ngwe Emmanuel is the number one table tennis man in the country having won all competitions within the national territory

He won the Chinese Ambassador's Cup, the championship and cup and on Saturday added another trophy to his record by winning the Top-12 competition considered to be the most important event by table tennis lovers in the country. Having won all trophies at the national level, Ngwe Emmanuel says his ambition now is to extend his hegemony to the continental and why not world scene. To achieve this ambition, Ngwe says he trains every day and has a real passion of table tennis. Time will tell.

Tayim Mercy, the Indefatigable

With the retirement of Victorine Fomum from table tennis, the baton stick has been handed to Mercy Tayim as she now dominates in the women's category. She has won every competition she went in for this year in table tennis within the national territory. Besides playing tennis, Mercy also acts as trainer of tennis players coupled with her profession as a teacher at the Lycée Bilingue d'Application in Yaounde. Her busy schedule enables her to train only twice or thrice a week but yet, her level of play is largely above that of her fellow mates. Like Ngwe, her dream is to establish a name on the continental and world stage.
