Nicolas Nkoulou loses father

Deepest sympathies go out to Cameroon international, Nicolas Nkoulou Ndoubena, who is grieving the terrible loss of his father.

He died yesterday in Mfou, a city located more than twenty kilometres from Yaoundé, but the circumstances of his death remain unclear.

According to a police source in the city, he reportedly died of disease, while at the same time, a local radio station spoke about his death being a tragic accident as a result of a vehicle fire and said that an investigation had been initiated by the police to determine the origins of this disappearance.

The death of the Marseille defender’s father comes just four short years after losing his mother following his return from the 2010 World Cup in South Africa. A story that has sadly almost repeated itself.
