'Mighty Be Forward Wanderers' are on the verge of losing Cameroonian international Lionel Assu to another Super League teams if his K3.5 million signing on-fee money is not paid, his agent has warned.

Prince Jere who was responding to Wanderers General Secretary claims that, Assu was registered to play for the Nomads and that he cannot play for any other local team this season. Assu was not available for the Nomads' 3-1 victory over EPAC following Wanderer's failure to pay him part of his signing-on fee money.

This has forced his agent Prince Jere to warn the Nomads that his player could join any other team in the Super League because he never signed a contract with the Blantyre based giants. Jere said several teams from the top flight are interested in signing the player.

"My player is free to join any other team in the Super League because he never signed a contract with the Nomads. He will only play for them if the Nomads pay him his part of signing-on fee money.

"He has no contract with them as he only signed Sulom forms hence giving him all the freedom to join any team of his choice and the Nomads can't dispute this," said Jere.

However, Jere refused to reveal the teams interested in his player but Malawi24 has established that 'Be Forward Wanderer's arch-rivals Big Bullets and Silver Strikers are all vying for Assu's signature.

According to our findings, Bullets are leading the race in signing the Cameroonian international following strings of meetings between Bullets and the player's agent Jere.

Assu demanded a K3.5 million signing-on fee as well as, a monthly salary of K500,000 from the Nomads as part of his deal, but he has received nothing as the club is reluctant to meet these demands.
