QPR boss dismisses Eto’o ‘speculation’

Harry Redknapp has dismissed reports linking former Chelsea man Samuel Eto’o with a move to QPR as “only speculation”.

Cameroon forward Eto’o, 33, is a free agent after leaving Stamford Bridge and it has been claimed that he is wanted by Redknapp.

The Rangers boss is keen to sign at least one striker in the next few days but last night said he was no closer to a deal to buy Watford’s Troy Deeney.

“He was on our list but there’s nothing happening with that one at the moment,” Redknapp said.
