Chérif Hannachi believes sanctions placed on his club after the death of the Cameroonian footballer Albert Ebosse is unfair.

The president of the Jeunesse Sportive Kabylie has risen against the Algerian sports authorities because of sanctions placed on his team in the aftermath of Ebosse's death. In an interview granted to the Internet site Algerian competition.dz and published January 1, 2015, Chérif Hannachi railed against decisions taken against his club after the death of its star, Albert Dominique Ebosse.

He made reference to the sanctions taken against JSK by the Confederation of African football and the League of professional football. "Those who have unfairly punished the JSK must lift the sanctions because our club was the victim in what happened," he said.

Hannachi pointed out that, this is a form of "harassment" that he does not understand. The Algerian leader thus demands the lifting of sanctions against JSK.

"It is about time that sanctions be lifted. I will not give up unless this injustice is repaired", he insisted. For him, the sanctions are a farce, because JSK was victim in what happened.
