Sport masters to receive basketball coaching training

The South West Regional League of Basketball will be organising a seminar on Basketball, for all sports reporters and sports teachers (masters/coaches) of Primary and Secondary Schools, as well as Universities and other higher institutions of learning.

The training seminar that will group participants from across the country will take place from Monday, September 1 to Friday, September 5, 2014 at the Catholic University Institute of Buea (CUIB).

According to Ifose Emile Mbella, Senior Youth and Action Counsellor, Basketball Coach (expert) and President of the South West Regional League of Basketball, trainers for the seminar will come from the International Basketball Association – FIBA.

The seminar will be held each day from 9am and participants will obtain an International Young Coaches Module 1, certificate from the International Basketball Association.

Ifose Mbella adds that participants shall also receive basketballs, sets of jerseys and other gifts. “Participation is free for all,” he said.
