Tall Blacks down Cameroon

The Tall Blacks have downed Cameroon 75-66 in their opening game of a four nations basketball tournament in China.

Kirk Penney led New Zealand with 14 points, while Corey Webster added 13 in a game where Coach Nenad Vucinic took the opportunity to rotate his roster.

Casey Frank played 10 minutes in his return from injury, but fellow naturalised player Nick Horvath won't play the tournament due to a back problem.

The Tall Blacks meet Ivory Coast in their second game tonight.
