The Indomitable Lions of Cameroon will prepare for the 30th edition of the Africa Cup of nations in Yaoundé and Gabon.

The final tournament is scheduled from January 17 to February 8 in four cities in Equatorial Guinea. Paired in Group D with Côte d'Ivoire, Mali and Guinea, the Lions will begin their preparation 5 to 7 January 2015 in Yaoundé.

In the capital, they will carry out workouts at the Omnisports Stadium. "This first step will result in a friendly match against another African selection to participate in the AFCON 2015 and having chosen Cameroon as place of preparation. Negotiations are underway with the Democratic Republic of Congo, which will be based in Yaoundé," noted a signed release from the Team Press Officer of the Lions, Vincent de Paul Atangana.

Speaking of the choice of training sites, Bertin Ebwelle, football coach explained: "in Gabon or Cameroon, we are in the sub-region. For the great serenity, the coach made the choice of Gabon. And it is a good thing for the selection," he told CT.

After Yaoundé, the second and final part of their preparation will be in Libreville on January 7. The Cameroonian selection will train at the "Sino-Gabonaise friendship" stadium at Angondjé.

The climate of the site located on the outskirts north of Libreville is similar to Malabo. The staff of the Lions also justified this choice of Libreville by the presence in Gabon of, many other teams to take part in this tournament. It is therefore a boon for some sparring partners of quality.

"Negotiations are underway with selections from South Africa and Gabon," continued the release from the Team press officer. The list of the pre-selected will be announced in the coming days. "Our pool is balanced. We pay attention to all these nations. Against the Ivory Coast, there will be revenge in the air," noted Bertin Ebwelle.
