The group, ‘The Mutual’ presented four candidates at a press luncheon hosted by the grouping of presidents of clubs of the Littoral Region held in Doula on Thursday, October 23, 2014.
The candidates were president of Pouma FC; Louis Bekeck, FC Sanaga; Ngassa Badi, estuary FC; Dr. Fritz Ngoh and Friendship Football Academy; Jacques Elma These four nominees were drawn from eighteen club leaders who planned to present their candidatures for the control of the regional football league.
Based on nominations within this grouping, Chairman of the Committee, Emmanuel Wakam, said that, “The criteria were simple: fight against racial discrimination, take account of the marital status, the availability and the project of the candidate for the Littoral Region”.
He further explained that, “At the end of a new selection, two candidates will be cleared of these four survivors for a debate. The idea is out there, we have a representative for ‘The mutual’ who will be essentially capable of defending not the cause of The Mutual but the cause of football in the Littoral Region".
During the meeting, each of the four candidates was granted a few minutes to express his arguments. President of Pouma FC, Louis Bekeck spoke on his experience after decades in the service of football in the region while Ngassa Badi, presented himself as the youth candidate.
Fritz Ngoh, also argued on his availability and Jacques Essombe Ndoumbe indicated that he had strategies for self-financing of the regional football league.
The final candidate who wins the bet in all County leagues in the Region during the outcome of these internal battles will be the most preferred in this election at the head of the Littoral regional Football League, scheduled on November 7.
This grouping chaired by Joseph Pierre Batamack seized the opportunity to launch, "The call from the littoral" for a candidature of Tombi A Roko Sidiki, current Secretary General of the Fecafoot in the next elections at the head of this institution.
