The past weekend produced quality games all over Europe and as usual African stars were in action for their clubs.
In this African Team of the Week, four Indomitable Lions of Cameroon stars dominated two Nigerian stars, two Senegalese, one Gabonese, one DR Congo and an Algerian in the team.

CHARLES ITANDJE
Cameroon's Charles Itandje returns in the African Team of the Week. Itandje was in action on Friday as his Turkish Super Lig side Rizespor were held to a scoreless draw by Konyaspor.
Itandje claimed the ball 36 times and distributed well with 70.8% accuracy, beating off competition from fellow Cameroon international Carlos Kameni who conceded two goals last weekend.
Kameni though has made the most successful high claims in the La Liga this season with 24.
DEFENCE
JOEL MATIP
Cameroon's Joel Matip had a very good game in Schalke 04's 1-1 draw against Bayer Leverkusen at the BayArena on Sunday. The central defender made six tackles, seven interceptions and four clearances in the game. He committed just one foul throughout the 90 minutes that he was in action. The versatile defender slots into the right-back position.
ADRIEN CHEDJOU
Cameroon international Adrien Chedjou was outstanding in Galatasary's 2-2 away draw against Kenneth Omeruo's Kasimpasa at the Recep Tayyip Erdo?an Stadium on Sunday.
The central defender provided the assist for Halka Balta's 51st-minute goal. He had 75.8% pass accuracy and had 41 touches of the ball with one key pass to boot.
The game was the eighth of the season for the 30-year-old defender who made one tackle and four clearances in the game, including one off the Galatasary goal line.
GODFREY OBOABONA
Super Eagles of Nigeria defender Godfrey Oboabona was one of Rizespor's best players on Friday in their scoreless draw against Konyaspor.
The 2013 Africa Cup of Nations winner played for all 90 minutes in the game though he was booked in the 66th minute which was his fifth yellow card of the season.
Oboabona made two tackles, three interceptions, and four clearances to beat competition from other equally impressive African stars on parade over the weekend like Marseille's Nicolas Nkolou and Sebastien Bassong.
ELDERSON ECHIEJILE
Super Eagles left-back Elderson Echiejile provided an assist in the six-goal thriller at the Stade Velodrome where Marseille and AS Monaco played out an entertaining 3-3 draw.
Echiejile assisted Fabio Coentrao's 72nd-minute goal though he was yellow-carded in the 90th minute of the game. The Nigerian made five clearances, one tackle, and two interceptions.
MIDFIELD
STEPHANE BADJI
Senegal's Stephane Badji was in action and in great form over the weekend for Istanbul Basaksehir as they held Sivasspor to a 2-2 draw in a game that had four African players in action (John Boye, Michael
Eneramo and Djakaridja Kone for Sivasspor and Badji himself for Basasehir).
Badji made four tackles and two interceptions. The midfielder made 66 touches of the ball and had 79.3 % pass accuracy.
CHEICK NDOYE
Senegalese midfielder Cheick Ndoye was the Man-of-the-Match in Angers' 2-0 home win over Vincent Enyeama of Nigeria's Lille at the Stade Jean Bouin.
The 29-year-old completed 31 of his passes which was 64.9% accurate. He had 50 touches of the ball and won nine aerial duels. Ndoye takes up one of our places in the middle of the park. The win lifts Angers to the third position in the Ligue 1 table.
ERIC-MAXIM CHOUPO MOTING
Indomitable Lions of Cameroon midfielder Choupo Moting was the Man-of-the-Match in Schalke 04's away draw against Bayer Leverkusen at the BayArena on Sunday.
Moting struck in the 50th minute though he was yellow-carded 12 minutes earlier. Moting had two shots on target and won six aerial duels. The midfielder had 76 touches of the ball and completed 38 of his passes which were 68.4% accurate.
RIYAD MAHREZ
Leicester City continued to be a difficult opponent as the Foxes on Saturday held Louis van Gaal's men to a 1-1 draw at the King's Power Stadium.
The headlines were all about the goal-scoring feat of Jamie Vardy but Algeria's midfield jewel Riyad Mahrez was also impressive in the game.
The skillful Algerian made one key pass and had one shot on target. He had 49 touches of the ball and completed 21 of his total passes which were 66.7% accurate.
ATTACK
YANNICK BOLASIE
Congo DR forward Yannick Bolasie was the Man-of-the-Match in Crystal Palace's emphatic 5-1 win over Newcastle United at Selhurst Park on Saturday.
The twinkle-toed winger scored a brace in the 17th and 47th minutes of the game.
Bolasie touched the ball 70 times, played five shots with three of them on target. He completed 40 of his passes, two of them proving to be key. Bolasie's passes were 82.5% accurate in the game.
PIERRE-EMERICK AUBAMEYANG
Gabonese international Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang grabbed a brace on Saturday to take his haul to 17 in the German Bundesliga on Saturday when Borrusia Dortmund thrashed Vfl Stuttgart 4-1 at the Signal-Iduna Park.
The striker struck in the 19th and 90th minutes of the game and despite his goal heroics, the Man-of-the-Match award went to team-mate, Henrikh Mikhitaryan.
Five of Aubameyang's six shots were on target. The pacey forward completed 24 of his passes which were 62.5 accurate. He had 45 touches of the ball and won two aerial contests.
