As the saying goes; many are called but few are chosen. It will be time for reckoning on the last day of play of the MTN Elite Two Championship next Sunday as the full list of promoted, repeaters and demoted will be known.

However, it will be a mere formality or gala matches for clubs like Tonnerre, Douala Athletic Club and Fovu of Baham in that order, when they take on Apejes, Botafogo and National Polytechnic Bambui respectively next Sunday as they have already gained their tickets to the first division next year.

The fates of Santos and Lausanne have equally been sealed at the bottom of the table and no miracle can free them from relegation to the regional leagues next year. It has been a dismal performance from AS Lausanne demoted last year from the elite one championship and yet unable to survive in elite two.

However the fate of Caiman and Sahel are still hanging on the balance as a positive result for Caiman and negative result from Sahel, could see them exchanging positions across the relegation line. Sahel is just above the red line on 29 point while Caiman is one step below with 26 points and victory for Caiman propel them survive as they are separated by three points and just one goal difference.

The matches in Yaounde will take place at the annex number stadium as the Ahmadou Ahidjo stadium has been closed for renovation work in preparation for the upcoming crucial encounter against Cape Verde counting for the return leg last round qualifiers for the Africa cup of Nations to take place in south Africa next year.
