The Philadelphia 76ers drafted center Joel Embiid with the third pick in last year's draft, not long after Embiid had undergone surgery on a stress fracture in his right foot.
Embiid was likely to be sidelined for much of the season due to the surgery, and more than 60 games into the season, Embiid has yet to take the court in a 76ers game.
That does not mean, however, that Embiid has not been performing in practice. On Friday, Philadelphia shared an impressive sampling of that performance.
The vine of the Embiid dunking comes from warmups ahead of the 76ers' home loss to the Utah Jazz.
Philadelphia is 13-49 this season, ahead of only the 12-48 New York Knicks in the Eastern Conference.
After seeing what Embiid is capable of at the rim, some 76ers fans and maybe even Embiid's teammates themselves may want to see what the seven-footer is capable of before closing the book on an otherwise frustrating season.
