Roma are reportedly considering making a move for free agent Cameroonian striker Samuel Eto’o.
The 33-year-old striker played for Cameroon at the World Cup recently and is currently a free agent after Chelsea let him go in May.
Rete Sport report that some intermediaries will meet with Roma’s directors at the club’s training base in Trigoria about a possible move for Eto’o.
Roma are looking to improve the depth of their squad due to UEFA Champions League commitments this season and they would be looking to make the most of the fact that Eto’o is a free agent.
Eto’o had previously played in Serie A with Inter from 2009-11 and he scored 33 goals in 67 league matches.
While he was with the Nerazzurri, he played a part in the club’s 2009-10 treble-winning season in which Inter won the scudetto, Coppa Italia and UEFA Champions League titles.
