After a tough start to the season, it finally looks like Everton are starting to get back to the displays which saw them challenge Arsenal for fourth place last season.
Roberto Martinez's men made a very slow start to the campaign, but last week's 3-0 thrashing of Aston Villa appears to have given the Toffees renewed confidence, and it showed today as they comfortably defeated Burnley at Turf Moor.
Samuel Eto'o opened the scoring with a header in the fourth minute, but Everton were pegged back when Danny Ings equalised just 15 minutes later. However, Everton's class told as Romelu Lukaku finished off a flowing move before Eto'o curled home a superb third to hand Everton the 3-1 victory.
Cameroon legend Eto'o was a huge signing for Everton this summer, with the former Barcelona and Inter Milan striker penning a two-year deal on Merseyside following his release from Chelsea.
After scoring against his former employers in August, Eto'o finally got back on the scoresheet today with two great finishes, and Everton fans were delighted with the 33-year-old's performance against the Clarets today.
Here is a selection of tweets from Everton fans on Eto'o's display.
#EFC Eto'o cost £16 million less than wassisname. I call that a bargain, the best we ever had.
