The Indomitable Lions of Cameroon have garnered 6-points after beating Gambia by a goal to nil in their away 2017 Orange Africa Cup Of Nations Group M qualifiers encounter in the coastal Gambian city of Bakau.

Despite the heavy downpour and defensive blunder in the first half, Vincent Aboubakar slid one through in the 65th minute to place Cameroon on top of Group M.

Cameroon with 6-points are now ahead of Mauritania who have 3-points, Gambia with a point and South Africa also with a point.

The stadium was filled to capacity at the start of the match with the Scorpions' fans dominating the cheers to urge their team to victory. But the Lions held on tight for their second win in their second game of the AFCON 2017 qualifiers.

Cameroon edged Mauritania at home in their opening matchday.
