New Tottenham Hotspur forward Clinton N'Jie has revealed that his manager Mauricio Pochettino helped him adjust to life at the English Premier League side.

The Cameroon international joined Tottenham from French giants Olympique Lyonnais during the recent transfer window following a successful season in the Ligue 1.

“It had been two months and a few weeks and I did not know the competition, so obviously I lacked rhythm,” N'Jie said.

N'Jie, who arrived at the White Hart Lane injured, stated that the Argentine manager supported him during his time in the sidelines.

“In my head, it was not going very well. Before arriving I was injured in Lyon. I arrive, I get hurt. I started to ask myself questions. But the coach talked to me and reassured me,” he concluded.

The 22-year-old attacker came on as a substitute and grabbed an assist as Tottenham hammered Manchester City 4-1 in a league game on Saturday.
