When Cameroon based 237 hip-hop group urged people to await the entry of a gifted hip-hop and urban artiste to take the local music scene by storm and by extension lead the Cameroonian attack in conquering East and then West Africa, many doubted the possibility of such a feat but few months on Al-K has emerged and shaking everywhere.

Al-k’s first ever video is out, titled ‘Soffa Pikin’ shot by Dante Fox and already fans are grooving to the song. Al-k’s rap is tight so is his use of the Pidgin, French and English languages impressively.

The song about the hustles of a young man hits home with many of the youth in Cameroon and the other African states but Al-k calls on Papa God to see his efforts and bless him with riches.

Hear him: “I get respect for my papa, yes you don soffa….Love for my mama…for me you don waka” adding ‘nothing dey for chop chop but no go fail’.

The music is brilliant and the rap fierce, the video has clear visuals, colour separation is done nicely, studio shots impressive and digital works commendable.

There is little wonder that this song and video have already crossed the Cameroonian border into Ghana and Nigeria. Go on Al-k and spit more venom because you have enough ink in your tank.
