The National Trade Union of Professional Musicians, SYNAPROM has been launched.

The structure has been created to provide training, counseling and production assistance to musicians.

Prior to the launch, the Ministry of Arts Culture published a list of one thousand, one hundred and fifty nine musicians eligible to receive payment of author’s rights.

The list, considered by many as ”all-inclusive”, has been conceived to be a gesture to reward output. Evening artist that are still in the budding stage were included.

As if to continue to encourage their work of arts, the Ministry of Arts and Culture has distributed some musical equipments to artists.

On the occasion, the Minister of Arts and Culture, Ama Tutu Muna cautioned the creative minds to be more innovative so as to rip more benefits from their artistic productions.

The consignment of musical equipment was distributed to 102 artists selected nationwide as part of a government programme to enhance local creativity.

At the end of the busy week for musicians, they undertook to brave the odds of the musical professional and work even harder to meet international standards.
