Renzur Epie aka Crispy was born on the 30th of January sometime in the late nineties to Mr. Sylvester Epie Effiwatt and his wife, Rita Asuma.

He attended his primary school at Parents Mountain School, Buea. His secondary school at Bishop Rogan College and St Therese International Bilingual Comprehensive college, Buea, and then he moved to Bilingual Grammar school, Buea for his High school.

Growing up, Crispy had mad love for Music, especially Hip hop. He was intrigued by the way rhythms blended with poetry and he started scribbling rhymes of his own.

With inspiration from rappers like 50 Cent, 2Pac and JayZ, Crispy continuously developed skills in writing and in 2007 he started composing music. Crispy released his first video in July 2013 titled ‘Mboma’ and it was directed by Nkeng Stephens.

The song revealed his talent to the world and exposed him to the executives of CIM(Call It Music) Records who decided to sign him as their first artiste.

A major highlight of his career occurred when he covered ‘King Kong’ by the Nigerian Rapper; Vector Da Viper.

His rendition of the song was generously received and appreciated especially by Vector himself who was very impressed by the song. It revealed his lyrical maturity and versatility.

In ‘Small Nobi Sick’, which is the title of his most recent work, Crispy is passing out a message to the public, saying that small, little or short people also have a lot to bring to the table. That anybody can achieve greatness no matter their height, size, stature or complexion.

Crispy is definitely here to stay. He has proven that he has the potential to occupy a space in the Cameroonian Hip-Hop Hall of Fame. Stay tuned to this young talent.
