Rachel Applewhite grew up in Little Rock, Arkansas (USA) listening to hip hop, rock, jazz, pop, and southern blues. She is a singer/songwriter who is influenced by music from all over the world.
With a master’s degree in conflict resolution, and having lived in Bangladesh, India, the UK, and Cameroon, Rachel loves writing songs that connect with people of all cultures. Working with Jovi on his debut album, H.I.V, Rachel settled in Yaoundé and joined New Bell Music.
Describing her music as electropop and “poplitical”, she is working with producer LeMonstre on her first EP, “Random Acts of Violence,” scheduled to be released in 2014.
