Njeng Osbert Njeng (born May 6), better known by his stage name OXB aka Mr Phenomenal is a Cameroonian rapper, songwriter and budding producer.

He was born in Kumbo, in the Northwest Region of Cameroon. Growing up, he was exposed to Rock, Pop and RnB. Furthermore, his love and passion for music was nurtured by African music; Makossa, Rumba and Soukous.

In 1999 he and his family moved to Mbengwi, a town also in the Northwest Region of Cameroon. That was where he was exposed to HipHop – dubbing his favourite songs of this particular genre on cassettes.

Thereafter, he started analyzing the HipHop culture and embarked on a journey of being an artiste, songwriter and producer. It is the content and different sound that sets him apart from other artistes. This had made him one of the most talented upcoming acts in recent Cameroon history.

Coming from a family with a strong educational background and values, he prioritized on getting the best quality education. He is a proud holder of two bachelor degrees. He obtained his degree in Microbiology at the University of Buea. He further obtained his second degree in Mining Engineering at the Cameroon Christian University.

He is currently signed to Blaxity Music Group, a recording label owned by a Cameroonian Hip-Hop promoter and television presenter, the legendary Tony Nobody. Years of experience with music has molded OXB into a triple threat; an artist, songwriter and producer. He is working with upcoming artists in his projects and is the brains and voice behind the radio smash hit, ‘Appelle Moi’.

In just under a year with Blaxity, he has owned stages. He ripped the stage at the MBOA Urban Revolution in Douala and claimed his place in the industry at the University Games in Yaounde, both events in 2015. OXB has also set the stage on fire in his unforgettable performance at the Street Wear and Music Show on World Music Day in June 2015.

His music is causing a stir in Cameroon and creating heat around airwaves, proving that OXB is a force to be reckoned with.
