Cameroonian rapper, Hopiho has just released the video for his new song, “Baby”. “Baby” has a different sound from Hopiho’s other tracks. This was in a bid to show his fans that he is moving away from the usual musical genre he is known for.”
The track “Baby” is a true melting pot. The hook is sung by Kenyan musician Winnie Chris and the guitars are played by Diego Montenegro from Colombia. The song was produced by David Omondi who is also Kenyan.
Hopiho revealed that he has lived in several countries including France, Cameroon, Kenya and Canada hence the sounds evident in his music. “I try to mix different cultures to create something unique,” he says.
The song “Baby” is one of the tracks on the “Le Chant du Cygne 2: The Lost Tapes” album which is scheduled to be released in December.
