The selection for men's basketball qualification at the end of a tournament was organized over the weekend in Yaoundé.

According to the list, Lions of basketball will be present in Tunisia (Afrobasket) and Congo (African Games) thanks to two victories Friday (81-69) and Sunday (80-68) against Congo.

The qualifying tournament, Group F of zone IV, originally planned around four teams (Equatorial Guinea, Congo, Cameroon and Congo) finally saw the participation of the Indomitable Lions with the Red Devils.

Equatorial Guinea, for reasons of non-qualification of some players, was not able to participate, the DRC cited other reasons. “The reasons were non-sportive. The country will be punished", said Secretary general of Fiba-Africa, Alphonse Bile during a press conference.

Cameroon therefore qualified for a fifth time in a final phase of African Cup of nations basketball gentlemen after 2007, 2009, 2011 and 2013. The country will be one of the 12 participants of the Afrobasket.
