Joel Embiid wore some very expensive sneakers to the White House

What's Joel wearing? That seems to be a popular question among Philadelphia 76ers fans lately.

On Monday night fans were all excited because Embiid was wearing some actual Sixers warmup gear prior to their game against the Los Angeles Lakers. Turns out, Embiid was just wearing the warmups as part of a fan appreciation night giveaway, not to actually play in a game obviously.

Then on Tuesday, Embiid was spotted wearing some casual kicks at the White House in Washington, DC as the team took a field trip on their off day prior to tonight's contest with the Wizards.

But Embiid's Giuseppe sneakers aren't likely to cause the kind of kerfuffle the Northwestern ladies lax team caused when they rocked some open-toed flip flops. See, the Sixers didn't actually get to meet President Obama.

Not yet at least. Hinkie's plan needs a couple of years.

Joel added some hashtag excuses on his Instagram as well, claiming dress shoes are bad for his feet, "As you can see we're all happy and excited #Imtheonlyonechillingtho #themshoesareShiny #DressShoesAreBadForMyFeet."

As for Embiid's kicks, which we were alerted to via the team's official website, they start around five figures.
