Draw for female Afrobasket 2015 takes place in Yaoundé

The double ceremony for the draw of the female Afrobasket and African Games 2015 will be held Saturday in Yaounde, the Cameroonian capital and home of the competition, learned APA Monday with the Organizing Committee.

With its 12 teams divided into 2 groups, the tournament will be held with matches in knockout from the quarter-finals and the winner will directly qualify for the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro (Brazil).

2nd and 3rd ranked teams, are attending an upcoming tournament for the international federation's (FIBA) discipline which will gather 12 participants.

Not only the host country will participate, but also South Africa, Algeria, Angola (holder of the title), Gabon, Mali, Uganda, Mozambique (runner-up in title), Senegal as well as 3 other invited countries «wild card» at the end of the draw.
