Video: Aroga blocks Ravena to seal NU win

The Eagles were down by two points, 63-65, with 9.3 seconds to go when Ravena went for a potential game-tying layup.


Fortunately for the Bulldogs, Aroga was positioned near the basket and was able to swat Ravena's attempt.


The move secured the victory and a finals seat for NU -- its first in the UAAP Final Four era.

Aroga posted a double-double of 14 points and 12 rebounds to power the Bulldogs, who led by as many as 12 points in the first half, 25-13, before surviving the Eagles’ late fightback.


“We knew where they were going and I thank Alfred Aroga for bailing us out again on defense with his blocked shot,” Altamirano said.
