Since the beginning of the 2014-2015, cocoa marketing year in Cameroon, which started from August 1, 2014, and ended in December 2014 has seen an increase.

Statistics of exports published by the National Cocoa and Coffee Board (NCCB) showed an increase of 9.5 per cent, or 115,951 tonnes in a five-month campaign.

According to the same source, the month of December is one which experienced the most dynamism in this area.

Indeed, during the last months of the year 2014, the country shipped 42,668 tonnes of cocoa (25 848 tonnes only were exported over the same period during the last campaign), against 29,198 tonnes in November.

As a reminder on all the exports of the last campaign, the NCCB statistics had 174,629 tonnes, down 3.37%, from 180,722 tonnes exported in the cocoa from 2012-2013 campaign.
