120 containers of books and other textbooks have overdue at the port terminal.

The revelation came from port authorities who confirmed that nearly half of these containers have been at the port for more than 30 days without any formality for removal been initiated, despite reminders made to these importers.

Approached for confirmation of the information, the structure in charge of the management of parcels and debottlenecking of the port of Douala, DIT spoke of the bad behaviour of importers who obliterate all measures of decongestion by congesting the Terminal with the high number of containers abandoned by importers, supports one of the officials who evokes that "the terminal congestion rate amounts to 90 per cent by end of July against 147% in may 2014.

Statistics indicated that more than 3,000 containers at the terminal which have been there for at least 30 days without formalities of removal, are due to the low costs of living.
