2015 is the year for accelerated growth - Nganou Djoumessi

To compensate for the under-consumption of the public investment Budget, the Minister of Planning has prescribed the activation of all the levers for its satisfactory execution.

Friday, January 16, 2015, Mr. Emmanuel Nganou Djoumessi, Minister of Economy, Planning and Regional development of the territory, and Deputy Minister Yaouba Abdoulaye received New Year wishes.

This event was preceded by the Annual Conference of the heads of the Central and decentralized service of this Ministerial Department under the theme: "equipment of the nation, contribution to the public investment budget.

During this great mass gathering of the leaders of the MINEPAT, several major topics such as: the terms of the funding of the public investment Budget for the equipment of the nation, the optimization of the interventions of the PIB in the reduction of the deficit in productive equipment were debated.

With regard to programming and the realization of public investments, the Minister of Planning pleaded for the continuation of the framework for the maturation of the public investment projects, the creation of a real Bank of projects.

In his speech, Emmanuel Nganou Djoumessi also indicated that: "the year 2015 is the year where MINEPAT shall demonstrate undeniable expertise to be able to promote inclusive and sustainable growth to contribute to the transformation of the economic landscape of our country".

Furthermore, the Minister argued that, necessary and urgent measures will be taken to reduce the gap between the rate of commitment and physical execution of the PIB.
